Market area cooperation between BEB, EWE Netz, Exxon Mobil Erdgastransport and EGMT
As already announced, balancing group managers in the three market areas Verbundnetz Ems-Weser-Elbe, L-Gas Norddeutschland and EGMT will be able to contract balancing between market areas with effect from 1 December 2007. On this basis, it will be possible to balance quantity differences between market areas subject to defined conditions. Detailed information is available in our download area.
Since December 2007, balancing group managers have continued to be able to conclude contracts for balancing between market areas in the market areas mentioned above. This allows the balancing of quantity differences between market areas subject to certain conditions. More detailed information on balancing between market areas is available in our download area.
It has been necessary to postpone the merger of market areas which was originally planned for 1 October 2008. The main reasons for the postponement were the fact that approval by the anti-trust authorities was not available and that the regulatory conditions had not been clarified. We will keep you informed of further developments on this page.
Network access
Erdgas Münster Transport offers access to its gas transmission system in accordance with the provisions of the Energy Industry Act ("Energiewirtschaftsgesetz“ (EnWG)), the Gas Network Access Ordinance ("Verordnung über den Zugang zu Gasversorgungsnetzen“ (GasNZV)) and the Gas Network Access Charge Ordinance ("Verordnung über die Entgelte für den Zugang zu Gasversorgungsnetzen" (GasNEV)).
On the same legal basis, we also offer access to the upstream pipeline network of Erdgas Münster GmbH. To facilitate access to the two systems, this upstream network has been included in the sub-network system of our gas transmission network.
Since 1 October 2007, we have offered network access solely on the basis of the "two-contract model". This model is based on the Agreement in Accordance with Section 20 (1)b, Energy Industry Act, on Cooperation between Operators of Gas Supply Networks Located in Germany (the “Cooperation Agreement”, version of 25 April 2007) amended in consultation with the Federal Network Agency (http://www.bundesnetzagentur.de/) together with Bundesverband der deutschen Gas- und Wasserwirtschaft (http://www.bgw.de/) and Verband kommunaler Unternehmen (http://www.vku.de/).
Our network access conditions and standard contracts are available for downloading from our download section, together with further information on network access.
Detailed information on entry and exit points as well as online booking possibilities is also available in our "Information and Charge Calculator" (only in German). The network access charges published are determined by Erdgas Münster Transport GmbH & Co. KG on the basis of the competitive situation, in accordance with Section 21 (2), Energy Industry Act, and Sections 2, 19 and 26, Gas Network Access Charge Ordinance.
On the BGW website, you will find further information on the cooperation model including the Agreement in Accordance with Section 20 (1)b, Energy Industry Act, on Cooperation between Operators of Gas Supply Networks Located in Germany.
